Minimum supplier requirements

In support of our business objectives, Rio Tinto Aluminium Limited has an expectation that all suppliers will comply with the following minimum standards:

• Financially secure
• Direct manufacturer of goods, or an authorised agent thereof
• Technically capable and competent staff to support goods supplied
• Maintain ISO or equivalent systems for quality assurance
• Recognised safety systems with good safety performance
• Health, Safety, Environment and Communities policy
• Agree and supply to our standard terms and conditions
• Internet compliant (favourable)
• Aligned with our business objectives (reducing costs, enhancing value, reducing/eliminating wastes, reducing variation)

We will put in place performance measures that will accurately reflect supplier performance.
